Why are Avs fans booing Rantanen? I don't get it. Man was a very well liked workhorse for the franchise and never asked to be traded.

Why? Because Rants is now playing for the Stars who he chose to sign with and he is trying to beat the Avs. That’s why.

Would be pretty funny if he wasn't.

Rantanen's been a treat to watch in this series and I do look forward to many playoff runs in the future, even if this one only lasts one more game.

Man I can only assume Heiskanen truly wasn't even close to being ready to play last night because this exact situation is why playing him was so beneficial - even if he was only 70%, he's basically getting a freebie game to work on getting back to game speed. Now, in a game 7, they're going to test a guy who hasn't played since January, against one of the fastest teams in the league, when he's recovering from a knee surgery. That's one hell of a gamble.

Don't get me wrong, I'm quite confident Dallas will win game 7. Home ice, bad ice that will slow the Avs down, DeBoer owns the Bednar, DeBoer always wins game 7s, this Avs core have never won a game 7. Pick you reason, there are many.

But I do appreciate them getting another shot at slaying the game 7 & DeBoer demons. Eventually they'll punch through, it'd be nice if it was this year but I just don't see it. If the Avs even stand a chance they'll need Makar to show up.

I've just been enjoying this series. Heart says Dallas, head says Colorado. I do know Colorado would be a nightmare matchup for Winnipeg in round 2 so I'd be ok with the Avs taking game 7

Avs aren't losing game 7 this time. Dallas has been out-shot and out-chanced 2-to-1 for this entire series.

Honestly as a neutral observer I'm very happy for both teams

The two teams are powerhouses in the West this year. Both are legitimate strong Stanley Cup contenders. An early exit in round 1 would have been terrible for either/or.

Now? Well - obviously one of them is going to lose game 7. But I think both sides should be satisfied with the fantastic effort they gave in the series. Top players on each side stepping up, etc.

Whoever loses will be disappointed, but I think it'll at least be bearable.

I'm rooting for Colorado. We'll see.

Winnipeg doesn't have a second line center and, depending on what's going on with Sheifele, they might not have a first line center.

Either of Colorado or Dallas, who both have very good center depth, probably handles them quite easily.

You’re the first positive Avalanche fan I’ve encountered going into tomorrow’s game lol!
Are you even a sports fan if you're not negative about your own team? Literally the majority of Stars and Avs fans are down on their own team lol.

Anyways it's no surprise this is the closest series in the first round. I don't think neither team deserve to be out in the first round. Whoever wins the series has to be the favorites to come out the West.

He got a nice welcome back for his first return to Colorado in the regular season, but I think if he'd signed in Carolina he'd have gotten a consistently much warmer reception moving forward in subsequent games. Instead he moped about and then agreed to what essentially amounted to a a sign-and-trade to the Avs' biggest nemeses over the past few years. And hey, fair play to him, he nearly took the Avs out last night, might do so on Saturday, and can continue trying for the next eight years, but it's not exactly endearing himself to the fanbase, y'know?

Is Bichsel in next game? I feel like he shouldn't have been put back in the game when he looked like he was knocked out and has a history of concussion.

Lose game sevens. Picked Avs to go through because of no Heiskanen. (Robertson too, but to a lesser degree). Stars have played really well. If the Avs play to their ceiling though I don’t think the Stars can match up without Miro.
