The jokes rule, but I'm also glad they've given this thread a bump because Smith has had a really nice stretch up with the U18s. Well-rounded offensive skills with a nice set of hands. He, Perreault, and Ryan Leonard are probably the standout forwards of the '23 NTDP from my viewings so far.

I think he’s probably the best draft prospect right now among the 2005 NTDP’ers.

Reminds me a lot of Josh Norris as a prospect, although Norris has obviously panned out extremely well. Not all will. He’s a safe bet to be some kind of second line forward. I think he’s a center, but he’s an average playmaker, so I could see a team prefer him on the wing. His best parts of his game are his puck skills, shot, skating, and defense, but there’s not really much about his game that projects as significantly above or below league average.

I think he’ll probably be like a mid/late round first next year.

Norris isn’t much of a playmaker either.

Rangers should draft him for the meme alone. Center ice, they do need depth.

imagine if he is a Flyers pick

Really strong start at the program this year, 11 points in 5 games! He’s smacking the USHL the same way he did Rock
