Spiridonov looks like a well rounded center with good size and speed.
After Podkolzin and Dorofeyev I would pick him from the Russian prospects pool.

This'll sound crazy, but I'd personally even go further. I think he'll project to be better than both Dorofeyev and Podkolzin. He's been the best forward in Sweden for the Russians so far, and that includes all 3 projected first rounders. I feel like his skating, puck skills, and shot are first round quality, but I think his intelligence and passion drive up his potential value even further. And better yet, he puts everything together. I've never necessarily gotten that from Pod who I think has 1 or 2 better individual skills, but doesn't put it together like this player does. This kid will play in all situations, PP, PK and will be tasked with heavy minutes.

Kid plays more of a North American game than any of the top 3 Russians, and it'll translate better on NHL ice.

I'm really looking forward to todays game against Sweden.

Well, it's a good thing that you said this before the Sharks drafted him. Because people would be calling you a homer now that he's a Shark.

Looks like a safe pick from what I've seen, should make the NHL even if it's in a checking role.

3 years from now people will wonder how he was drafted so late and making an impact on the Sharks

Figured this guy would have been a late second last season so I was surprised to see him slide. Good size, right hand shot, seems to be good on defence. Anyone have an update on how he’s doing this season?

Last season they was the only team in the league that had line with U20 players, also they are rebuilding now. He most likely will get a chance at least at pre-season. A lot depends on him
Good to hear, that’s exciting as he will probably join the sharks org in 2021-2022 so if he was able to get real KHL time it would be pretty beneficial
