So Quant only goes back to '93-94!

Kulich really deserves more credit than I think he'll get for this rookie season. He's not gonna win ROTY or any other awards but to come into the league at 18 years old AND light it up for 44 pts is impressive. Playing in the AHL at that age is HARD, we saw Nylander flounder in the AHL at that age and even Quinn struggled quite a bit before his ROTY campaign the following year.

Just look at the rookie scoring leaders, he's a solid 2+ years younger than almost all of them. I can only imagine how much he'd light up the league as a 19-year-old but unfortunately, I don't think I will have the privilege of seeing it.

What's more impressive to me is that he LEADS the team in goals, and is 4th in points/game with one of the players in front of him being Vinnie who only played 11 games. Rousek is 23, and Biro is 25. That's a huge age gap, and even more impressive given he has also had to adapt to the North American game.

Did he? Wasn't he playing through some type of injury and still had like 9pts in 15gp something like that.

Thought the coach said he was noticeably improving in the couple games before being shelved too.
Yeah he did get better as the season went on after a fairly quiet start, I don't remember the injury part to be honest.

Appert's post-game press conference: week to week is more likely than just a week.

Hockey saw his birthday and went "Welcome to 19 Jiri, here's your next challenge."

I’ve got to admit I have not really gotten a chance to watch the Amerks this year. Outside of Kulich possessing an elite shot, what other strong attributes has he displayed in his skill set? I’m not super familiar with his play style other than the highlights I’ve seen of him blowing shots by goalies on the PP. How is his ES contribution? Is he competent in his own end?

He looks to get himself with and without the puck toward the inside, into higher danger scoring areas. He gets into the middle lane and drives the net. He's been much better on the wing than at center - if he's the puck transit guy, it hasn't gone as well, similarly in his own zone he's better covering the point than he is at having bigger responsibilities to cover for others or come deeper into his own zone. He's gotten better(ish) but his biggest aspect holding him back is that. The shot is absolutely crackling.
