Perreault is off to a much quicker start than last year from a points perspective.

And this production is coming without Will Smith. Obviously Gabe is still surrounded by elite talent at BC, but some people held the Smith connection specifically against Perreault as if Gabe had to prove he could do it without him.

It's wild that Gabe was the only one of the three that got apparently got the benefit of his linemates and somehow Smith and Leonard didn't. Absolutely wild.

All joke's aside did that goal remind anyone else of Jagr? Obviously not comparing the two of them but I feel like Jagr had a very similar goal in his prime.

Tons of people have been saying for multiple seasons now how all 3 benefited from each other. That's exactly why a lot of us wanted them to be separated this season to see they would do if they were playing with other linemates. They're all great prospects, but it's hard to evaluate when they do the exact same thing each season with the exact same linemates.

One sequence from the Providence game stood out to me as it pertains to Gabe. Providence had a two-on-one breakaway in a tie game late in the third. Perreault came flying onto the ice from the bench as the last line of defense and laid out to block the pass and prevent a shot. Then not even thirty seconds later on the same shift, he drew a penalty on the other end to setup what could have been a power play to win the game in the final few moments. This sequence doesn't show up in his point total, but it very much affected the game and reflects his compete level.
