Play's for the "Flint Tropics", but isn't even first in Firebirds scoring. Sure, that team sucks, but he has not had a good season, nevertheless.
Couldn't fit team Canada roster, really shouldn't of, but still...

Wasn't special last season, isn't special now, kinda strange pick by the Stars?.
He is first in PPG tho...? and the dude neck and neck with him is going to be 20 this season. Ty was drafted for his all around ability as well so its worth noting that he is a large part of their PK. Wasnt an amazing pick, kid sounds destined to be a Faksa type player, but he is still a solid player.

As to not making Canada's roster, that straight up isnt a slight on any 18 year old. Suzuki and Glass couldnt crack the roster at 18. Canada picks mostly 19 year olds and you pretty much need to be putting up Veleno (the guy I wanted with the pick) numbers to get selected

46 points in 38 games and 59% on the FO dot while carrying an awful team. Seems fine to me.

Dallas has had a hard time hitting on their 1st rounders latley (Heiskanen was an easy pick at 3) but I have a feeling this kid pans out and becomes a 50 to 60 point future captain for dallas. Seems like he will be a slept on offensive player like a prime Ryan Callahan or Dustin Brown just at center.

Hope so. Our current captain plays like he doesn’t care and literally got benched today. Would be nice to have a captain who plays with some passion.

Sucks that he likely will have to go back to Flint for next season as well . He would have to make the NHL roster for that not to be the case and while thats possible i don't think thats gonna happen.

Hoping we at least give him a nine game look. He’d likely have to go back to Flint for November, December he would be gone for the majority playing for team Canada, and OHL trade deadline is early January.

There's will be quite a few young forwards competing for rosterspots though he has to compete with for a NHL rosterpot ( + the players already signed ) . Half the Texas lineup right now is prospects and Robertson is also in his last OHL season . It's going to be a tough one. I'm just happy Stars for once have soon very promising prospects coming in. Defense is the only spot where the team is sort of weak in the prospect pool.

Oh yeah he’s going to have to earn those nine games for sure. I feel like even being younger he’s a better option than most of the prospects except Robertson. Even with Robertson I’d like to see him get a year in the AHL (unless he looks amazing in camp).

He was Dallas best player in traverse . His line was dominant throughout the tournament. He'll get a shot to make the NHL and likely at least the 9 games . Hope he can stick around the whole year. Don't think another year in Flint would do anything for him.

I actually think Flint has a chance to be a pretty decent team this year.

Not good enough to keep a guy in his last season with the team for the whole year . Dellandrea will leave Flint at the end of the season at the very latest and
join the Stars .

I doubt Flint is good enough to compete for the OHL title even if they improve.

I know Flint isnt a great organization but I think he could definitely do another year in junior and it wouldnt hirt at all. He hasnt had a really dominant offensive season in junior yet, last year he only scored 22 goals. Theres plenty he could work on at the OHL level. Let him go dominate that league and play a good role on the world junior team, no rush

I don’t want to take credit for your idea but... :naughty:

Stars wouldn't be looking for too much offense out of him since top 6 is probably pretty set . There are multiple bottom 6 roles open though . Since he has a very strong two-way game anyway there could be a slot for him on the Stars if he beats out the competition. He can definitely make the team as third/fourth line Center this season .

If you dont want him to develop his offensive game so be it but he seems like a guy that could become a top 6 center to me. If he goes to the NHL and plays in a htird line or fourth line role without having had a dominant offensive junior season I find it hard to believe that part of his game will develop

If you think he's the type to be a future leader, let him stay in Flint and lead that team to round two this year. It would be much more benifical than just being another high pick on a stacked team. (Not that Flint will be bad. I'd pencil them in for 4th in the conference.)
