Incomprehensible that his ice-time hasn’t even ticked up over that period, and he continues to toil on PP2, all so that Beniers can continue being the least effective 1C in hockey.
You’re still looking at the wrong statHis On-Ice SH% has gone down and he’s still putting up points. I think I’m interpreting them just fine.
Are you TRYING to force a thread derailment?He's passed the bust torch over to Slafkovsky
I think we learned a lesson on calling an 18 year old (he was 18 when he was started being called a bust) a bust...Not to compare but since we had to listen to Habs fans for 2 seasons:
Wright: 12G, 19A, 31Pts +3 TOI-> 13:31 in 54 games of first full NHL season
Slafkovsky: 8G, 21A, 29Pts -9 TOI-> 16:53 in 52 games of 3rd NHL season
Maybe Wright isn’t such a “bust” anymore and maybe we should be doing an in depth analysis of Slafkovsky instead.
literally. Same with Jack Hughes.I think we learned a lesson on calling an 18 year old (he was 18 when he was started being called a bust) a bust...
Is it a good idea to give first line and first into pp to young players who haven’t earned those minutes?Not to compare but since we had to listen to Habs fans for 2 seasons:

Was a joke to call him a bust because he wasn't in the NHL as a teen.Wright is improving every game. Not sure why so many people want him to bust.
The kid is not without his faults. He's been lazy but if Seattle can motivate him, the talent is there.Was a joke to call him a bust because he wasn't in the NHL as a teen.
I don't know if that's true. But some people feel the need to beat up on him because their team didn't pick him, and they want to feel better about their pick. I can understand the sentiment even though I dont agree with it. I think you can root for your pick without needing to put others down.Wright is improving every game - he's going to be terrific. Not sure why so many people want him to bust.
I had heard a lot about his lack of effort, but I never really watched him in juniors. I can definitely say that it has not been an issue this season in Seattle.The kid is not without his faults. He's been lazy but if Seattle can motivate him, the talent is there.
Good to hear. I would love to see him on Team Canada one day.I had heard a lot about his lack of effort, but I never really watched him in juniors. I can definitely say that it has not been an issue this season in Seattle.
