Still it seems like a long road for any kind of NHL career for him but he was a mid 3rd rounder so the success rate is what it is.

Yeah I mean - he's a bit down on our depth charts with Knies/Abruzze/Robertson/Steeves all ahead. And we have guys like Curtis Dougals and Joey Anderson who still need to be given a real shot as well.

Bit of a logjam - might be available for a 3rd but ideally I see him just growing in the marlies for another 2-3 years

I could see a deal where we swap prospects, someone who plays a position we identify as a need for the Marlies who is several years after their draft and buried by the depth chart, but has the tools to be something.
