Centreman out of Ontario is poised to forego the OHL and play in the NCAA instead. Patterson is a good two-way forward that owns a very good shot. He is keen on making sure he gets back to help defensively and isn't a guy that is known to cheat for more offense. Very confident when the puck is on his stick, Patterson is good at finding open teammates for good scoring opprotunitys. Riley possesses a good motor that he uses to be relentless on the forecheck. He should be an interesting player to follow going forward.
