Interesting Norwegian forward I saw while perrusing Elite Prospects. He had a hell of the start to the season and is a late ‘05 so he isn’t draft eligible until 2024.

Can anyone inform me more about this player?

Hopefully he gets in some Allsvenskan games this year - I’m exited to see him play and if he can continue his current pace

Yeah, I was that as well. 2 goals and 1 assist in Mora J20s 4-3 loss today. 13 points (8 goals) in total for Nygård in the first 6 games, what an insane start.

Yeah, he is really good. People in Norway was takling about Gabriel Koch last year, but I thought Solberg (who is almost 2 years younger) was just as good in the games he played for Vålerenga before he broke his collarbone. He has started this season really good as well, so young but it looks like he has been playing senior hockey for 15 years

Saw some clips recently and he is certainly looking promising. Finally a really good prospect from Norway? I sure hope so. I assume he will get a good look in HockeyAllsvenskan once it starts up. Mora does not have the deepest of rosters.

Does anyone have a scouting report and do his skills translate to higher levels?
 
2 assists for Mora A-team today.
Maybe we finally can get a Norwegian drafted in the first round in 2024. That would be the first time ever. The current record is from 2002 when Marius Holtet was drafted as number 42

There might be two Norwegians drafted in the first round in 2024, him and defenseman Stian Solberg.

So what about his style of play? Of course early, but probably someone can say about his NHL prototype?
 
It looks like Nygård is ranked as a mid-late 1st rounder by many outlets. I think he will be a big riser this season. I have him in my top 5 on my super early list. Love his game.
