I know it helps to play with Dumais but still, you'd think his ranking on the rise?
Someone would pick him in the first two rounds, if he keeps his current pace.

Highlights at least, he is also playing well.

I found that he drives the play more. He has good size, doesn't shy away from dirty areas, works hard in the D-zone to fetch the puck then leads the rush. Dumais usually waiting for a pass. They do well together and i think Cataford is an interesting prospect.

Great pick for Vegas. He has upside but I think he has a decently high floor too. He has a very well-rounded skill set and he's a big gym rat, up to 190 lbs at 5'11" and it really shows in his play. He thinks the game really well and positions himself correctly on the defensive side of the puck but he can punish defensemen when he's first on the forecheck. I think he projects as a complementary piece in a top-6 capacity if it all works out and most likely a bottom-6 two-way forward with skill who can be used on the PK.

Been to most home games. He looks to have taken another step this year and is on a line with Dumais and Vidicek who have been absolutely suffocating opposing teams. Noticeably strong, hard on the forecheck, and making the right reads on both ends of the ice. Plays like a pro already.

I'm quite impressed with him and it will be interesting to see him next year as the main offensive threat on the team.

Has to be one of the more under the radar prospects from the last draft. Had a 5 point night(3 goals, 2 assists) in a 5-4 win and capped it off in OT with this goal.

I was in Halifax a few weeks ago and caught a couple moosehead games. I thought Cataford was the best player on the ice in both games. Decent size, reads the play well and plays a pro style game. Scored a beauty end to end goal. I was very impressed.

I thought Dumais would be the guy to catch my eye, he's got great hands and IQ but he's small and a average skater at best, which is usually difficult to overcome and be an NHL player.

Cataford won the QMJHL MVP...and he was just traded to Rimouski for a huge haul of picks, so he will be playing in the 2025 Memorial Cup.
