Still think he’s absolutely a center long term. His versatility has always been a good thing though.

I'm so happy for Marco.

I love it when high workrate players like this start to outplay supposedly more skilled NHLers. It happens more often than a lot of folks realize. Not every topline player in the NHL is a puck wizard.

I think a lot of people in the real world realise the value of high work rate players that will go through a wall to win a hockey game. HFboards, its definitely about flashy puck skills and points in junior though lol

Interesting 2-way player with a good future. I keep an eye on Kasper, as had the Sens not made the DeBrincat deal with Chicago, I think they would have drafted Kasper (Chicago picked Korchinski). He is their type of player, and signs and rumours went along with this. Looks like a solid long term 2nd line centre who is a good checker. Good pick. Only Mintyukov looks better in the next bunch of picks.

Korchinski, Ludwinski, Kantsurov (1st and 2 2nds) became DeBrincat, who became 1st (25th) and 2 throw-ins, who became Ullmark. The 1st 2 trades were not a good idea for Sens, fortunately, Staios salvaged the situation.

Kasper is pretty damn physical and often in scrums, I’d say he’s close or will be close to Bennett.

I don't think he wants inflict physical damage/pain on people like Bennett does, which is what I was alluding to.

He has finally acclimated to the NHL and you can tell just by his body language. He’s been playing with a lot more confidence since Lalonde was fired.

Will be nice to see if he hits 50 points by the end of the season while continuing to be a solid 2way player.

I think it’s become evident that he’s an asset to Detroit’s top line and it’s his spot to lose.

Well he's at 11 in the last 10 so we'll see. He's been a totally different player in the last 15 games under McLellan.

Exactly. He’s been hot as of late and has 11 in his last 10. If he stays on that top line and replaces Tarasenko on the PP, I don’t see why he wouldn’t be able to.

Just to be clear, multiple players have been tried alongside Larkin and Ray this year; only Marco has produced and looks like a fit.

Also, Detroit did the same thing with Larkin as a rookie center. Stapled him to Zetterberg’s wing to take the heat off him playing as a top 6 C as a rookie.
