I don't think he plays the game anything like Larkin, but he certainly looks promising.Got his first NHL point on the weekend. He should absolutely be staying in the NHL but he was recalled under emergency conditions so who knows if he stays up.
He looked a lot like a young Larkin out there. Really fast, chaos created on the forecheck and some skill to go with it.
He should be in the NHL for good but we'll see what happens
Really? I think he looks especially like a young Larkin out there. Uses his speed and ability to skate for zone entries and plays both ways. Really good on the forecheck, creates a lot of havoc that way.I don't think he plays the game anything like Larkin, but he certainly looks promising.
I think the key differences is Larkin was a better shot, Kasper is more of a high speed wrecking ball? Kid doesn't shy away from taking and initiating contact.Really? All comparisons aren't perfect but I don't think you're going to find many better ones for Kasper
I don’t think he had the top gear Larkin has or the acceleration. It has been getting better, but I don’t see him as that kind of skater. Now Kasper has a lot more jam, but I don’t think he has the same fear factor around his speed as Larkin at all.Really? I think he looks especially like a young Larkin out there. Kasper is a pretty complete player so almost any player comparison can be found to have some common ground. I just think he plays a far heavier and grittier game than Larkin does or ever did. On the flip side he doesn't have the same elite speed and rush offense. I see more of that in Danielson.Really? I think he looks especially like a young Larkin out there. Preseason can be so misleading. It's funny because, around this time last year, a lot of Wings fans didn't think Kasper would amount to much and were upset Danielson wasn't on the team after an impressive preseason/camp.
I was moreso pointing out how fickle fans' opinions on players are. But yeah I agree. I'm sure Kasper will struggle at some point while Danielson is on a hot streak and Wings fans will once again favor Danielson.Preseason can be so misleading.
Last September Kakko looked like he was poised to break out and Laf looked like pure garbage and we were ready to trade him for a 3rd
