Scored his 2nd goal of the season.

Their commentator mistakenly calls him 16 year old,
he turns 16 in December 12th.

I think this kid is Sasha Lakovic’ (37 NHL games as an enforcer) son.

Sasha died of brain cancer about 6 years after this kids birth, and I believe had settled in West Kelowna post hockey career.

Sasha was an incredible fighter for his size.

Easy to see the likeness of the two.

But his dad is relatively famous
you'd think there was mentions in interviews
or when he was drafted to the CHL

Had the OT series winner last night, to go with his other one earlier in the series against the Blades. This guy is clutch. Big body and still growing into it. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him go in the 3rd-4th round.

21 on Pronman’s initial 2025 list. Not getting much discussion elsewhere.

21. Lynden Lakovic, LW, Moose Jaw-WHL

Lakovic hit 39 points this season and was a notable part of a very good WHL team in Moose Jaw. Lakovic is a 6-4 winger who skates quite well for his size. He has a powerful and fluid stride and can easily avoid checkers. He is a creative offensive player with the hands to make defenders miss often. He sees the ice well and shows strong offensive hockey sense with the puck. There are a lot of indicators in his game he could be a good pro forward.

I don’t know if he goes this high in a ton of previous drafts, but I think he goes top 10 in this draft and he’s getting zero hype compared to a bunch of guys I have not been impressed with.

After like 5 or 6, a lot of players have similar upside just with different playing styles. I’m not in love with Lakovic’s motor and mobility, but he has great vision, is huge, and is extremely versatile. The only forwards I will firmly say are above him at this point are Hagens, Martone, Misa, Frondell, Eklund, and Ryabkin.

Does he have any bite or jam to his game or is he more Colborne than Tkachuk

I would not call him physical; he is big and strong, involved in the play, he can win puck battles and protects the puck well, but his game does not revolve around physicality and aggression (he does not shy away from contact, but averages less than 1 hit per game). He is however super skilled (skating, shot, vision, hands), and I'm a strong believer of his offensive upside, but I don't think he is the next Tkachuk.

This guy looked good last night. Very big, with soft hands. Right now his skating looks decent or better, though he is more of a cruiser out there, like many junior players.
