Staggering Chara with a punch will get him some attention around the league. Not sure if it will be the sort of attention he is looking for, though.

I think Trenin is a keeper and i hope Nashville knows that and "gives" him the correct role from the team. - eventually-
The "eventually" should basically be right now. He's showing that he belongs. That he will do whatever it takes. Few enough of our other players are.

I've noticed he has as good of stick use/positioning as anyone else on our team. Bonino is the other guy on our team that I notice has the "smart stick" as I've heard it called. Trenin wins a lot of 50/50 puck battles because of this.

Preds are stuck trying to figure what they've got in their default roster players. Trenin is better than some of them. Meanwhile, he was the only waivers-exempt guy they could send down. He deserves to be playing, though. Doesn't look like the Preds will be sellers, but if they were, Trenin would presumably come up to replace Granlund/Smith or any other forward moved out at the deadline.

It will be interesting to see how he adapts to the KHL. Because he sure seemed to develop a North American style game the last few years here in the Preds' system.
