Laba, Lipkin, and Boucher over Voit and Pastujov is embarrassing albeit not surprising.

Doubt USA personnel even bother watching OHL hockey.
Pastujov is surprising, Voit isn’t.

Small player without a record of representing USA internationally. You can make fun of the Boucher selection all you want but I think every GM in this tournament would want 6’1 Tyler Boucher who hits anything and everything he sees over anothwr small skilled player in the bottom-6.

They’re building a team to win gold - not a team you send to the all star game.

and if you followed Pastujov's track record at the most recent events, you'd see it's not a surprise the slow, defensively weak player who the coaching staff didn't trust (and plays in the OHL) didn't make it...at least not any more so than Voit.

Don’t really think Voit’s size is relevant considering we’re talking about a junior tournament. Especially when his ability to elevate the players around him, regardless of their skillset, is truly exceptional.

Good luck with that, I guess. I don’t really see the dynamic forward talent in the top 6 to justify leaving him out but we’ll see soon enough.

Seeing the final roster was wondering why at the least he had not been given an invite to camp.

Believe he is already signed by the Leafs. Is this a USA Hockey anti-CHL thing (much like when Hockey Canada left Mike Matheson off the roster)?

Or were there other factors?

Looks like the Habs have one second round pick keeping up with our fifth round pick from the same draft.

Edit: and Roy is projected to not make 100, he was also a fifth round pick. Guess its not that impressive :(
Ya for sure. Voit looked better than him at WJC too.
