He has a NHL clause in his contract with Zurich, so he could make the jump as early as next season while he is still relatively young. If it werent for his size he would be in the NHL right now in my opinion. He has excellent hockey IQ, quick hands, fantastic puck protection, good vision, and very accurate wrist shot to his disposal. He is also a great character guy that every team would want in the locker room. Hopefully he and his agent will make the right choice selecting the team when the time comes.

He should have been signed by an NHL team ~2 years ago in my opinion.

His prospect camp 2 falls ago with the Islanders seemed like the ideal time for someone to nab him. But him banking on himself seems like he's going to get a lot more attention and perhaps a wider array of teams interested.

Suter had a four goal game against Zug the other night wich is very rare for the rather low scoring NLA. He is almost garanteed now to end the regular season with most goals and is in a strong position to win the scoring title as well. I would be shocked if nobody gives this guy a chance in the big league next year.

I think he was at the Sens camp this past year but he can't leave to the nhl till the following season?

I'm going off my shitty memory

I think you mean Tristan Scherwey, who is also Swiss and was at Sens camp last summer but could not sign with a NHL team until this off-season.

Is this guy a center? Asking for a friend with 1 NHL quality center on roster.

Time re-unite with Fabbri and Bertuzzi from Guelph days?

Crazy coincidence, was just watching those 2014-15 OHL stats when seeing this Suter-topic.

I guess with the success of the Kubalik experiment, the Hawks felt it was a good idea to poach the top NL scorer once again.

It's speculation on part of the newspaper though, based on the success of Kubalik and the Marc Crawford connection. It's not clear whether they've got anything beyond that.

Fair enough. There are other destinations that make sense for Suter.

I wonder if the talks of a possible salary cap in the NL, along with the new transfer agreement, will lead more Swiss players to try and make the jump to the NHL.
