C Kristian Reichel (2016 undrafted; signed by WPG)

Here is some basic info about him.

He is 6'0", 163 lbs, shoots right and his position is C. He has 24 points (17 goals) in 28 matches in U20 league, but he has been called up to the A team in Extraliga, there he has 3+1 in 13 matches. He is arguably the best czech forward of the very weak 1998 forward group.

Albi is back !!!

Opinions ?

prospect for draft 2016

his cousin : Thomas eligible for draft 2017

arguably, because of his dad. I guess, but I believe in it of course...

I remember vividly the day the Coyotes traded Brad Isbister to the Islanders for his father Robert Reichel. I was furious because I was sure that Isbister would be a perennial 20g power forward in the NHL. Haha. I'm old.

I´m old as well. But "Albi" is back nowadays :) and Brad Isbister is in my card colection of course.

anyway, Kristian is wearing number "22" jersey. I like this number. The day of my birth, obviously not the same month and year... What was Brad Isbister number of jersey ?

he is going oversea to Red Deer at August...

Bad, bad decision. Even if he shines. At this age he can make draft only as PRO Extraliga player, like Lakatos or Simon. When he stays in Czechia, he would plays all season in Litvinov A-team.

Ondrej Palat made the draft in his D+2 year while playing in QMJHL. Obviously Reichel needs to dominate to achieve the same.
I personally think he goes to NA to prove himself (up until now he was pretty much always looked after by his father), to possibly get drafted/ get invited to some camp, and get that NA experience, as he will be there on his own etc. If he did this only for the draft, I think he would have gone to CHL last year.
I am personally indifferent on his decision, it's not like he was a core piece of Litvinov anyway...
