Well, I hope he plays prettier than his name. Jay O'Brien is just an ugly name.
Nah, it reminds me of Brian O'Conner.

bwahahahahaive been hard on this pick
wish him best of luck
bwahahahaha
now after being proven wrong yet again, you wish him best...good lord.
just stick in your Veleno thread, you would do better for yourself moving forward..
Pierre's favorite d'année.
Providence kinda blows but it'll be fun to see how he does in the NCAA. Think he'll have an immediate impact.
Talking about their lineup. I'm well aware it's among the top programs.yeah..... 5 straight NCAA tourney appearances, ranked within the top 15 every year, Nat. title in 2015, multiple guys breaking into NHL line-ups ever year, etc - yup a struggling program
Not major at all. Most credible mocks had him going between 25-35. Slight reach. I would have taken Veleno or Noel there but time will tellMajor reach, but so was Frost and he's looking like a good pick.
it was said just a few picks after the Flyers, a number of teams were targeting him...they just jumped on the guy they wanted.Major reach, but so was Frost and he's looking like a good pick.
Couple mentions from Flyers Development Camp couple weeks ago. Obviously it is just dev camp, but still good to see.
Good for Philly!
The clip isn't that impressive thought.
It shows good fundamentals and him gaining possession of the puck and keeping possession to set up a regroup for his team. i.e. 'driving possession'.Good for Philly!

Could anyone who follows Providence share how O'Brien has looked early on and where he needs to improve? His stat line through 4 games isn't impressive, and I wonder if it's reflective of his overall play and readiness.
Okay. How did he look in the games he played? He has been hurt and hasnt played in a few games.
