C Jake Guentzel (2013, 77th, PIT)

Key word is comparison, Schwartz would be Guentzel's best case scenario, but Guentzel's game is extremely similar to Schwartz's. To this point he has developed as well as we could have hoped as he was always a boom or bust prospect.

I've always been high on the kid, but he's adapted to the pro game far better than I expected. Having multiple goals tonight means he's now over a PPG as a pro (39 points in 38 games between the AHL, AHL playoffs, and now 1 NHL game).

Also worth noting that upside has never been an argument that has favored Sheary too often.

Gotcha gotcha, regardless the Pens seem to be collecting a good stable of complimentary wingers for Geno/Sid.

I figured I'd give this thread a little bump. Since he got sent back down dude has been on fire.

In his name game since being sent down. 9gp 10g 5a 15p +5
On the season he is 24gp 17g 15a 32p +19 6pim

He's top in almost every category while leading the ahl in goals as a rookie.

The Jaden Schwartz comparison is looking better and better. Guy is a player to just keeps going and really focused.

Also this was taken from twitter from a writer for wilkes barre
"Starting late in the 2nd period yesterday, Jake Guentzel scored five goals on five shots in 46:52 of game time."

Bumping to give this player some well deserved love. Clearly one of the very most underrated prospects/young players in the game.
