4+7 after 5 games at Sirius Cup. Leads the tournament in scoring along with Vyacheslav Vasiliev.
But he is a center. And it seems he might be the best Russian C after Kuznetsov.Yeah, he looked good, but he isn't Michkov or Demidov level.

Ryabkin stays at Dynamo. The club managed to persuade him not to leave for NA. But with one condition - Ivan after each season has the right to leave without hindrance.
How much worse is he than Demidov and Michkov at the same age?Caught a couple of his preseason games so far as he gets used to playing with Dynamo. The hands are very impressive, especially in high pressure situations. Quite intelligent and was creating a ton with his playmaking (despite not really picking up too many points) and his off-puck movement to get into shooting areas is great. Could do without forcing plays so often, but I don't really care about that until it becomes an actual issue, he typically has high value plays in mind. Standout player on his team so far for me, especially given his age.
Too early to say, he's still brand new to this environment and I haven't seen much of him outside of these few games and a couple Sirius Cup games. How much worse is he than Demidov and Michkov at the same age?

Probably closer to Podkolzin/Yurov/Miroshnichenko level than Michkov or Demidov who are two of the better Russian prospects we have ever seen.Is this guy a natural center? What are his strengths and weakness? How does he rank with Michkov and Demidov?
Would love some high level stuff from people who watch him. Thanks!
4+8 after 7 games...
Yea and the two guys with 6 points are an 03 and an 04. Impressive for an 07 to be so far ahead.Yeah the most interesting thing is the next best player on his team has 6 points in the same 7 games.
