Not a great rookie season in the A, but not bad either. Wild really need some of their recent picks to get going and make the league as above average contributors.

He has proven he can rise to the pressure like his play in the Memorial Cup and having to make the adjustments to the AHL can be difficult for some and easier for others. Different players, coaches, systems but eventually you sink or swim. Watching him improve last season showed me he can develop with the right people around him.
At the age of 20 or an OA player in the CHL this season tells me he has more than enough time to develop get stronger and get used to playing in a different style game with grown men.
Hard to excel on a weak team with nobody around to help him round out his game.
JMO with more talent around helps developing the whole team.
GP-49 G-17 A-12 Pts-29 puts him 1st in goals and tied for 2nd in points. I see him as a bottom 9 closer to a 3rd liner. He doesn’t have any glaring flaws. He will be an interesting prospect to see where he ends up in 3 years or so.

I've caught him a number of times vs Grand Rapids this year and I gotta say, he seems to see the pace of play well for a 20 year old rookie. Points have followed him as a result. Underrated skill in tight space, quick decision maker, and a nice snap release on his shot

I do think he's more of a 3rd liner with a knack for scoring, long term. I would not be surprised if he's knocking on the NHL door in 1-2 years from now
