Why is Jankowski getting no play if y’all need centres?
We don't need centers today. O'Reilly, Sissons, Novak, Glass and McCarron are a sufficient group for now. McCarron beat out Jankowski for that last spot. He just brings a few more elements that Jankowski doesn't bring at the NHL level. Although I do think Jankowski had been overall competent for us as a 4th line placeholder, he just doesn't bring the productivity or skill at the NHL level that he can in the AHL. So while he can put up numbers in the AHL, Jankowski is still only ever going to be a 4th line fill-in in the NHL.

But if we do lose Novak, if Glass doesn't get back on track, then that would potentially open up a spot for Svechkov down the road. Plus O'Reilly is getting up there in age too.

Seems unlikely, but he is having a good rookie season in the AHL, and who knows how well he might progress in the off-season. It's not like there is a big logjam ahead of him atm... with Glass struggling and Novak not signed yet, there is at least some chance. :dunno:
Glad to hear it. Was a big fan his draft year. Smart player

Losing Novak seems unlikely to me from neutral perspective

Svechkov with 2+1 last night. Along with L'Heureux, Svechkov is showing a lot of promise (As you hope a mid first will). Hope it translates into Predators camp in the fall. I did not get a chance to see the game last night. What kind of minutes is he getting? in relation to Parssinen and the other Cs?
