Poised to be a top 5 pick to Niagara in the upcoming OHL draft. At this stage he isn’t nessasarily warranted of that high of a selection - but since Niagara is having difficulty having the top players report to the team, they had to dive further down in their draft lists to get a guaranteed report.
That being said, Czata is still an excellent player. He’s a centreman that can be relied upon at both ends of the ice. He positions himself well in all three zones and was a very stout face off taker in the GTHL. He is a great skater that has a good motor and he also isn’t afraid to be physical. Size could be an issue, needs to fill out, offensive consistency needs work, and his shot in paticular could use some fine tuning.

All in all a talented kid I’m exited to follow moving forward.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but why are OHL players/families so against Niagara? It's a shame when bad organizations can't make themselves better through the draft due to non-reports.

Kid is a legit gamer. High energy, in-your-face game against London on Saturday night. Gonna be fun to watch his development.

I thought he was the best of the Canadian forwards at the WHC17 when it comes to defending. He takes the defensive side of the game very seriously and is an excellent penalty killer. Has the details down well of defending. Plays with a lot of energy. Good skater. Center. Already 6'0. His offensive potential isn't the best, but I don't think it's so bad that he won't be able to chip in the occasional point or two. If he can improve a little offensively I could see him getting some first round discussion next year, but he should be no later than round 2 or 3 due to his defensive game.

Can someone tell me why he gets no hype? 1PPG for a player who has strong two-way qualities and solid skating. Not small either.

I get he's not that exciting, but what separates him so much from like Brady Martin? Serious question for people who watch a lot of the O.

My opinion, probably views by scouts.
