Do you think he stays with the NTDP next year or goes to the Dub for a year before going on to the NCAA?
50/50 either way was what his dad told me back in February, probably will depend on what school he picks suggests is best. Had narrowed it down to 3-4 schools at that time, didn't say which ones but I know North Dakota has been after him for a while.

It tells quite a lot that there are rumours these days about so many players to leave NTDP early. Program is a mess right now. New NCAA rules may have been a worst case scenario for NTDP and USHL. USA Hockey needs to step up.

Beuker is essentially Canadian (grew up entirely in Canada and played all of his minor hockey in Canada), he's only playing for the NTDP because he was born in Portland. He's always been a greater flight risk. He'll end up in the NCAA eventually, likely at North Dakota, Denver, or maybe a sleeper team further east.

I may be wrong but I have thought that his other parent is American. In the past there really wasn't flight risk when players signed with NTDP.

Yes his mom is from the States, I was more so alluding to the fact that Dayne is essentially Canadian since his whole childhood & minor hockey career was in Canada.

I also think that Potter and Horncroff leaving and being welcome back with no animosity for u -18 tells you they will take the best kids . You throw in Fiddler playing the most minutes as a dmen at the tourny tells you can play other places and not get blackballed by USA hockey !

He wasn't born in Portland that's just where his mom is from. He was actually born in Germany when his dad was playing there but spent basically all his life in Humboldt

Similar to other 2026 draft eligible players with college commitments. Maybe he spends a year in Lethbridge then makes the jump to NCAA even without a commitment as of today.

Centering the top line for the USA U18 team (at least the way it was listed on the line chart for the preliminary game against Norway) and is committed to Denver but there hasn't been much discussion of him in terms of the 2026 Draft.

I believe Lethbridge holds his WHL rights. Any reason he is just 76th amongst North American skaters in the final Central Scouting rankings?

Lethbridge is bringing in a decent amount of young talent so they can see how they start out plus Beuker will have big role from the jump. If by December clear they aren't a playoff team can sell him to a contender to get picks
They just became a top half team, after being a likely bottom half team.
