What's the scouting report on him? Strengths, weaknesses, etc.

Top tier offensive abilities. Amazing hands, passing abilities, and a very quick release. He is a good skater with good agility and edge work which allows him to protect the puck against much larger defenders.

Main knock on him is his size, but much like his father he is seemingly making that less and less of a downside. From what I've seen he isn't afraid to go to the dirty areas, but is well aware it is not his forte and won't make a habit of it if it isn't necessary.

Looks like a smaller Drouin, IMO.

Very good summary.

He also has quite a high compete level combined to a temper similar to his dad's which has lead to a few too many retaliation penalties.

If size keeps him out of the first round despite his significant progression which seems likely at this point, he could be a steal in the second round due to his abilities.

I would draft this kid. Good bloodlines and make up as well as solid numbers. His size is no issues. His dad seemed to survive despite lacking in toughness.

he is a very skilled player, great puck handler, excellent passing, exciting to watch, good speed.....I personally think he will be taken i think Buffalo or Montreal will target him to try to get another Audette with the team but I think he has to work more on being a team guy, needs to work more into improving his game and changing a bit for the next level, his style game with his strength and size will not work at the next level, skills are there for him though, anywhere from round 3 on is good for him IMO....

I really understand the changing part. I really liked Audette in the beginning of the year, but he faded a bit for me towards the end and now U18. He hasn't been the same on the puck for whatever reason, and I find him to be on the perimeter much more now.

I'd be happy to see Buffalo grab him in the 3rd. Definitely worth taking a flier on and the organization needs skill. Wouldn't be upset if they took him with one of their later 2nd's either.

i have been asking myself about audette, this is a tough call, definately some talent there but i am hesitant as its hard to gage going forward for him when his fathers influence will no longer open doors for him and he will have to fly on his own merits
i call 4th round, more of an ahl europe career

He had a hell of a game today with 6 pts (participated on all his team's goals). His first goal and his assist on the fifth goal were beauties.

Now 24 pts in 14 games (1.71 PPG) this season. 7th in scoring in the Q.

Not bad. His taste in music could use some improvement though, asking for retweets from Ariana Grande. :shakehead

Awesome! Hopefully he can be another 5th-round steal like Gallagher!

Only seen him play once this year, but it looked like his skating had improved since last year. Can anyone who has seen him more than me confirm this?

Hate reviving old posts but was just going through Liiga and noticed that the 24-year-old is first-place Lukko Rauma's leading scorer.

Is this more a case of his game being a better fit at a lower level or is there a chance he could be a late bloomer that attracts attention as a UFA?

Some players just fit the European style of play better, like Nigel Dawes and Darren Dietz when they went to the KHL.

was never a big fan of his but since leaving for the Euro leagues he's been putting up some impressive numbers. He's done real well in Liiga last year and his KHL numbers this year are solid. Wonder if he comes back to North America next year or just ends up staying in the Euro leagues for the next several years.
