So I was watching highlights of the Colts win last night, and heard this name a few times. Didn't think much of it, but saw he got another assist tonight, so I looked him up. Guy is 6'8". Anyone who follows the OHL/Colts have anything to say about him? Obviously last night was a blowout and not indicative of the points he'll put up consistently, but he intrigued me and it would be cool to know a bit more.

really big guy who's off to a hot start. if he can put up decent numbers this season, he could possibly be a 2nd rounder? i don't believe i have heard his name mentioned as a 1st rounder?

Has improved a ton since last year, especially in skating although it remains a work in progress. Has decent skill for a guy his size, a heavy shot, and fairly responsible in his own end. I think a team might take a shot on him in the draft this year. Way he’s playing so far I’d like to see him move up the lineup.

A giant 6'8" center for the Colts having a good start so far for the season. I can't really watch OHL games other than highlights, but is there any one else who knows more about this guy? Could he be a pretty good third liner, or is he just another big guy who teams will skip over?

I’ve been able to watch him play a couple of times. I wouldn’t put his offensive ceiling very high, but he has pretty good speed and hands for a player of his size. Definitely an interesting player to watch.

So, who is this kid riding shotgun to? I get that he has the size advantage but if he's such a brutal skater, how is he putting up those numbers?

Pretty underrated tbh, he really uses his size well, offensively he looks good. He's a project but he has a ton of upside, he's a beast in the corners and in front of the net. But yea he really needs to improve his skating so he can pressure and get back defensively in the NHL.

At the moment I think he's a lock to be a 2nd rounder, could even go higher.

So he’s basically the Rasmussen of this draft...

hopefully he realizes he can be a force if he improves the skating

changed bo horvat completely, just needs the right trainer

His skating isn't good but isn't that bad. He's been the go to guy in Windsor since we are in our rebuild and you can tell his not used to being that guy. There are some flashes of talent and skill but also throws the body around and looks after his teammates. Could potentially be 3rd liner in the NHL.

22G, 33A 45P | 64GP so far this season.

What's the read on this kid? Could he edge himself into the 2nd round based on his size?
Listed 6'08, 232lbs on his OHL page

He was moved to a gutted Windsor team earlier this season in exchange for their captain, Aaron Luchuk. Windsor has been a strong junior club over the past decade. I would expect him to be pencilled into their top-6 for the next couple of years, so we should see some modest development at the very least. Could Douglas be a sleeper?

Edit:

For some reason the search wasn't showing any threads for him when I searched earlier. Maybe I typed something wrong. In any case I see now that there are other threads already - mods can delete this if they want.

Douglas probably ends up a 4c in the mold of a Brian Boyle. He may not end up as good as Boyle offensively but will more then Likely be better defensively and be much tougher on the ice. He could really help the leafs with Size and toughness next year or the year after.
