Still late 1st/early 2nd, but leaning more towards late 1st. Like 25-31.
He's a late '01 but also plays on really crappy team so it evens out. Him and Stankoven are gonna be a force for Kamloops in the future.

Even if he was eligible this year I'd take him as a late 1st rounder. Wonder how next year goes. He's already impressive as hell at both ends of the ice.

Hat trick two nights ago against Victoria - and with all 3 types: SHG, ESG, PPG. I really like his game, he oozes offense.
Him and Stankoven could become a very tough combination for teams to stop over the next two years.

I've had the pleasure to watch this kid a few times this season now. Very poised and polished for his age and he has some very high end skill. Has a chance to be a pretty special offensive player I think.

He was unreal tonight and might single handily drag Kamloops into the playoffs. Definitely should enter next year as a potential top 10 guy. Could make 5 players from the 16 WHL draft taken top 10 in the NHL draft

Connor Zary saves the Blazers season yet again last night, scoring a shorthanded GWG with less than 3 minutes remaining. This kid is amazing. This is the kind of player that wins you championships.

Zary steals the puck from the goaltender Basran and pots it in the empty net to put the Blazers up 3-1
Crazy for a D-1 guy to just be taking the reins for his team in the final stretch when these kids usually start to tail off as games get tighter and fatigue sets in. That’s a really good sign moving forward to next season.
He misses this years draft by 10 days, it isn’t like he is a 16 year old that’s dominating. Context is important when considering that it’s his D-1 season.

Even if he was eligible this year I'd still take him in the first round.
He’d be super young. He’d have good stats that only developed more over the year. He’d have taken the reins to his team in the last third of the season.
He’d go top-20 if not top-15.
