McDavid also considered playing NCAA hockey, possibly at Boston University, but decided his developing skills would be stunted while waiting to attend college.

How much consideration was really given to that? I'm not very sure. OHL was probably #1 on his list forever.

Wow, I watched McDavid play live 2 times this past season...I have never been this excited about a prospect since Crosby. This guy is the total package, vision, shot, skating, defence is lacking but I'm not even rating that, the speed and intelligence he has is down right awe-inspiring.

Whoever takes this kid is going to be one lucky ass team and their franchise will be turned around in the coming years.

Toews is far from generational. I love Toews, I really do, infact he's one of my favourite players in the league but calling him generational is overrating big time for someone who has never once in a full season put up over a PPG average.

Generational usually means the best player to come along in a generation. Even if you buy the notion that Toews is the best in the league today (he isn't), he's not even the best player to come along since the 05 lockout.
