C Bradley Nadeau - University of Maine, NCAA (2023, 30th, CAR)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Agreed on all of the above. He will be a top-six guy and a PP contributor because I don't think he has the defensive game to be a bottom-sixer -- not yet anyway.

I'd like to see some more stats about his defensive game to confirm this, but his plus/minus (-11) on a Chicago team that is basically even is concerning. I know +/- is not the be all and end of all defensive stats, but there was an eight-game stretch stretch in Jan where he was -11 and a recent five-game stretch where he was -9.

You can teach a guy to play defence, though, and if he's giving the effort, I'm not worried. He will have to round out his game more though before he'll be able to establish himself with the Canes.

This kid has surprised a lot of people, myself included. I know many projected him as a middle 6’er but he could possibly even be better. Damn he can rip the puck too.
The interesting thing with him he was kinda of a shock first round pick because of his size and him playing in the BCHL . It will be interesting because sherwood park has 2 kids putting up his type numbers in the bchl that are looking at 4-6 th round . Lorranger and dach ripping up bchl and there on younger and weaker team than he was at Penticton . It great to see him rip up maine and continue do well .

yea - that he was ranked that high coming out of bchl - i’m guessing he might be only first round coming out of bchl ?

I would also count Paul Kariya, Kent Johnson and Matthew Wood as they played their D-1 season in the BCHL.

As for the shock thing, it's only on this board really. I mean there's only a handful of people who watch the BCHL on this board and I'm the only one that does updates on players here.

Ya, was about to say, anybody guessing Nadeau was the first first rounder out of the BCHL hasn't been paying attention for very long. That being said, the BCHL going forward is likely to be a different - and likely worse - level of competition given changes in CHL-NCAA player movement.

Nadeau's same-age production in the BCHL always compared favourably with Johnson, Newhook, Jost and others that went a bit higher, but he was a smaller winger who hadn't showed anything against international competition (and still hasn't, thank you Dave Cameron). That made it harder for him to rise further.

Yea - thx , most of this board doesn’t follow that league at all so appreciate updates . I just started following last year as I got some kids there from my area that I follow .

On pace to score the most goals by a U20 AHL player in the last 20 years. He scores goals from the left-side of the ice from one-timers most of the time. I think there is serious 35-40 goal potential here. The only concern is his defensive game because it is awful.
