Went too high, but not crazy too high like I previously thought. I would’ve been okay with him at 6-10, and that’s not something I thought at the draft.Wondering what other fanbases think of Sennecke's play this season? Worthy of being picked 3rd OA over Demidov and Lindstrom? I know Canadien fans are hyping Demidov's play. I'm surprised there isn't as much discussion about Beckett in comparison to Demidov
He's been stellar and has grown a lot into a skilled forward with size.
Lol, meanwhile Sennecke got soundly outperformed in the OHL this year by several players who went below him in his own draft class:Sennecke going to make Demidov look like yakupov
Only player in this draft that ends up better than sennecke is celebrini
Only one of those guys I might take over him is Dickinson. People overrate the box score sometimes.Lol, meanwhile Sennecke got soundly outperformed in the OHL this year by several players who went below him in his own draft class:

Might wanna tone it down a bit![]()
That’s a funny argument to use with this particular player - there’s nothing else to his game except scoring. He’s not gritty, he doesn’t play physical, he plays zero defense.Only one of those guys I might take over him is Dickinson. People overrate the box score sometimes.
So what about Chernyshov, Protas, Parekh, Greentree in those areas you mentioned? That’s a funny argument to use with this particular player - there’s nothing else to his game except scoring. He’s not gritty, he doesn’t play physical, he plays zero defense.
In the last page it's a ducks fan who tried to drag Demidov for no reasonBe prepared Ducks and Sennecke fans. Habs fans are going to attempt to drag this guy for years no matter what he does.
Indeed. As with most things in life, one has to consider the source...In the last page it's a ducks fan who tried to drag Demidov for no reason![]()
Rebuilding teams fans have to find a way to compete too lol.In the last page it's a ducks fan who tried to drag Demidov for no reason![]()
For someone who frequents the prospects board, you seem really ill informed here.So what about Chernyshov, Protas, Parekh, Greentree in those areas you mentioned?
That’s why I said I’ll maybe take Dickinson instead. Dickinson has the great stats and is good in those areas. Those others lack in those areas.
Interesting take. I guess NHL teams were wrong on literally every single one of them or were exceedingly wrong on Sennecke. Time will tell. For someone who frequents the prospects board, you seem really ill informed here.
Chernyshov, Protas, and Greentree are all gritty, physical forwards who thrive in the dirty areas and are at least average/decent defensively. The knock on the latter two was their skating, but they have both improved it significantly this year, and their play reflects it.
Dickinson and Parekh are on a completely different level than Sennecke offensively, and they are defensemen. Comparing them to him any other way is nonsensical, so I’ll refrain.
All of them vastly outperformed Sennecke this year in the one area he’s good at. For Greentree, Dickinson, and Parekh, this is the 2nd year in a row they have outperformed and outproduced him in the same league. At some point you are going to have to consider the possibility that it isn’t a coincidence.
We all heard over and over that Sennecke has this immense untapped potential and how he was going to explode and dominate this year. That didn’t happen. All these other players took a bigger step forward this year than he did and stayed ahead of him in terms of development (actually, Protas leapfrogged him and Chernyshov pulled away; the other 3 stayed ahead).
He’s a finesse scoring winger with fancy skating who prefers the perimeter and doesn’t bring anything other than scoring to the table. I thought he should’ve gone in the 15-20 range last year, and nothing I’ve seen this year has changed my mind.
At this point, I take all of them over Sennecke easily, including Chernyshov and Protas. I already had the other 3 ahead of Sennecke last year and now the gap has only widened.
Or they took a gamble and it might not work out as well as they’d hoped. It happens all the time; that’s the draft for you, and it goes both ways.Interesting take. I guess NHL teams were wrong on literally every single one of them or were exceedingly wrong on Sennecke. Time will tell.
Lol none of them have played in the NHL yet so literally nothing is decided and you pretending to know exactly what’s going to happen makes you sound like a bozo. You don’t draft players solely on what they’d re going to do in the D+1 seasom in Junior. They are expecting his combination of size, skills, compete and mind to translate better to the NHL than others. There’s been a million cases of high scoring junior players not panning out in the NHL. Get off your high horse and let it pan out. I’m sure the Ducks scouts are much more informed on what’s going on then you are.Or they took a gamble and it might not work out as well as they’d hoped. Where did I act like I know for sure what’s going to happen? And I’m on a high horse because I have an opinion/view and am expressing it? You need to take a break and do some introspection if hockey opinions on an online message board bother you this much.Lol none of them have played in the NHL yet so literally nothing is decided and you pretending to know exactly what’s going to happen makes you sound like a bozo. I’ll survive just calling out stupidity. Yes you are 100% acting like you know exactly what’s going to happen. Show me where. Where did I make a firm prediction about what’s going to happen with any of them? Deflection/avoidance in 3, 2, 1…I’ll survive just calling out stupidity. Yes you are 100% acting like you know exactly what’s going to happen. When in fact you actually don’t have a clue.
Anyone with a brain can see what you are implying.Show me where. Where did I make a firm prediction about what’s going to happen with any of them? Deflection/avoidance in 3, 2, 1…
Aaand there’s the deflection/avoidance, just like I said you would lmao. Imagine loudly whining and crying about opinions you don’t like on an online hockey forum when you could just ignore them and go about your life. But hey, that’s your prerogativeAnyone with a brain can see what you are implying.
Lol ok buddy. Keep thinking you’re the smartest guy on the board. Whatever makes you feel important.Aaand there’s the deflection/avoidance, just like I said you would lmao. Lol ok buddy. Again, show me where I said anything that gives even the slightest indication of that. I stated my opinion and you don’t like it, but are not interested in adding anything to the discussion yourself other than whining. It’s as simple as that.Lol ok buddy. Keep thinking you’re the smartest guy on the board. Whatever makes you feel important.
