Bravo! The fact that CBJ traded up to snag him proves they really were into him, a bit like Beauvillier in his year draft, and that's good news!

Can't say if it's a steal for now. He's one of the youngest guy drafted this year, so Texier is a very long project. I guess playing in CHL would accelerate his development, but playing in Finland would help him a lot. Next year will be determinants for him if he's whether or not a bust. The kid is skilled for sure, let the Scandinavians shape this guy like they are used to !

The thing is that Tex was projected to be a 4th or 5 round, now that he's an early second round put some pressure on him. He shown to the world that he had skill, he's a long project in term of development, not expecting him to make the jump in NA until at least 2 or 3 season (if he play in Sweden or Finland next season), but his numbers will be watch closely because fans will expect nothing more than big numbers. But in my opinion next season will be an adaptation year transitioning from minor league play to one of the best league in Europe. Finland or Sweden will be perfect for him, they will teach him how to be a pro, eating healthy, breathing and living hockey, perfect his English, get some strength to his game, all in all a transition year for him, people should lower their expectations, he will be a good player, give him some time.

This kid won't be rushed, Wennberg and PLD are the future at center, Texier is still behind Stenlund and Tynan.

Michel Morissette†@fm97drakkar 44 minil y a 44 minutes
Texier viendrait d'être opéré à une épaule , ne serait pas dispo avant novembre, s'il vient

It says Texier won't be available until November due to shoulder surgery. Also, it's not clear yet if he'll report to BC.

Something not right about this. During development camp this week CBJ reports indicate he's in the final stages of recovery and would be ready to get back to playing shortly. Unless a new report came out from his physical at camp that indicates he needs more surgery. ???

I am guessing yes simply because Jarmo is a former player on that team and he probably knows what it takes to play specifically at that level for that team.
