He comes across as a smart guy outside of the rink, his twitter is very different from the average hocker player's.
If he looks like a legit NHL 3C soon, it’d make all those Nuge trade propositions a lot more feasible.
I would go more for a third line guy at least. I think he has what it takes for that. Skill to play the defensive-offensive balance as the 3C and if injuries occur, even sub in as 2C for short periods. Like Eakin type player.
Can he PK? That's all I want.

I love how he flips his stick to take face offs on his backhand left-handed.
What’s happened to this guy this year? Looked very good when he played us Slovaks, and was putting up good numbers in ncaa. Now his numbers are much lower, bad team? Or just hasn’t played good?
Nope, i think it’s more likely that he quits hockey in 5 years than him ever being in the NHLHaven't seen anything to indicate Oilers will sign him before they lose his rights in August.
Is there anything with his play for KalPa that suggests he can play in the NHL one day?
He is the league leader in points as well right now. He isn’t a player with very much skill, but he seems to have pretty darn good hockey IQ and also very strong will and great attitude. There are some ingredients for him to still become a surprisingly good player. He probably will be always underrated though, as his play doesn’t look too flashy. To me the flashiness of players is next to meaningless, so I have to say that I already like very much what I see in Räsänen. Now with 11 points.
- 2nd in points for KalPa, has 6 points.
