I believe that is correct, There was talk about Fimis potentially having a full card but I don’t’ see a reason why London would have done that.

Of the 32 London players listed on the OHL site, I see Fimis and Gerber not on A cards which means London has maxed out. Unless Arrowsmith was on a B card and 6 of the the 15 games played were during players away at camp. Then they have one card left.

Do you not think Blonda would use his NTC in the event of a trade? He is 180 miles from home and plays against the Soo 7 times. I am sure his parents would encourage it.

If Arrowsmith has an A card, it counts as a card for both teams
He was not on a A card in London. It does not count against London when Niagara put him on a A card. Games played at the beginning of the year did not count because players were away at camp. He did not play 10 countable games with London

This doesn't matter. It is applied to London as an A card retroactively. It absolutely counts against London when Niagara puts him on an A card.

He played 15 games for London. He most certainly was on an A Card. They graduate to A Cards as soon as they play 10 game UNLESS it is for a replacement player during the International Tournaments.

The player in question is Fimis who is sitting at 9 games.

He did play 15 games for London First 6 did not count because players away at NHL camps. Also a A card is not retroactive to teams traded from.

A player needs to be assigned to a league. If he is an OHL player then it's an A card. If he is junior B or u18 etc. then he can be an affiliate to the OHL on a B card and must abide by the affiliation rules ie max games allowed. If a team wants them to exceed the max affiliation games allowed, they must sign them to an A card and then they become an OHL player. If they are an OHL player then any team they play for that season burns a card.

This is my understanding.

Yes you are correct IF he plays the Max games he did not. He played 9 games that counts towards a card before he was traded

It's a moot point now because he played 12 games after the Knight's players returned on the October 9th game.

Oct 17 was the cut odd date for all teams it’s not done by individual teams. Games before this date do not count towards a card

It is probably a moot point anyway. I cannot see them signing Fimis to a full card as a 17 year old rookie with zero games played in the OHL. MAybe they did but that would seem VERY odd.
