So will everyone else. Sure there’ll be players who’ll want to call their shot or not report to undesirable cities, but all 20 teams will approach the next draft in a whole new way.I think the knights will be able to exploit the NCAA rule so it is possible any holes next year can/will be filled that way. I am not too sure they will care about the OA slots. They are relatively cheaply filled. I think the Knights will benefit greatly by the new NCAA rule. They will start to draft more strategically as well.
Flyers will be taken earlier and by everyone, either with the expectation they’ll report, or in the case of perceived undesirable cities, to be moved for value in trade.
A lot of unknowns. But one rule you may see changed is the defected player rule. Wouldn’t be surprised to eventually see it expanded to the first three or four rounds to insure we’ll get the best 16 year olds into the league right away. It’ll encourage “have not” teams to draft anyone they want knowing they can move them for value during that period.
