Howard Berger is probably reading this thread, be nice.None compare to the Ron Wilson era....
None compare to the Ron Wilson era....
Babs is going to have to win a few cups with the Leafs to reach that feat!As much as I think quinn is one of the best... I think babcock may be the best NHL coach of all time
Amazing how we can joke about this dark era in Leafs history only a half dozen years later when people like me were getting **** left right and centre at the time for pointing out how terrible him and Burke were doing with the franchise.
I just find it remarkable how quickly the heroes can become the villains.
Didn't he also once tell Howard Berger how no one liked him or he was a joke of a reporter?
As of now the Burns era, but this team of players could change that. Of the coaches, Burns was the best of the 3, Quinn was one of my all time favs, Babcock has 3 things i hate in a coach, egotistic, stubborn and arrogant.
yes we all know your obsessed with Babcock. It's more of an obsession at this point.
I'm not the one commenting on an old thread about him or claiming to hate him in most of my posts.yes we all know your obsessed with Babcock.
Hate when people called it the Mats era, everything we won was Cujo/Eddy
Miss being able to land high end UFAs each summer with no cap though
This is the beginning of an era filled with the most talent i've ever seen.
Burns era was a bit of a surprise. The team overrachieved. The Quinn era had high expectations but was never really considered a contender outside of Toronto.
I realize things are different now with teams automatically getting 1 point for just getting to overtime and the shootout, however under Babcock the Leafs reached a franchise in wins (49) and points (105) just last season. What exactly has Babcock achieved up til now???
