I've been thinking this since I saw him up close and personal here in Ottawa

Has anyone bothered to look at his stats in the AHL? In his 6th full season in the AHL he still only scored 12 goals in 58 games, and now people are predicting he scores 20 + in his full season in the NHL just because of 16 games last year when he had a crazy high shooting % of 26? Why do people never learn about overreacting to small sample sizes?

This is like when people overreacted to Bichettes hot start when he was first called up by the Jay's and were talking about him already being a superstar and maybe being better than vladdy even though Bichette was pretty average in the minors. Three years later and not surprisingly vladdy is on a completely different level and bichette was just above average offensively.

So far so good. He's scoring and he plays a good hard game.
When you have that much cap tied up in 4 of the top 6, you need a hard working, decent skating, low paid winger, to fill out the lines.
Hyman did it until he became too expensive. Let's hope Bunting continues on the same path.
