Oh yes, half of my Iphone screen makes all the difference in the world.
yeah seriously. People are way too hung up on that. Dumont is strong and stocky. He'll be fine.

Sounds like there is an intruder in your list. Our frenchies are doing quite good tonight. Hat-trick for Dumont. Goal by Ellis. Solid performances by Bournival, Olivier, Leblanc.

Protecting a 3 goal lead with 30 seconds to go is garbage minutes. That line wasn't protecting anything other than their more important teammates from suffering a needles injury in a game that has been decided.
Hahaha. Just so you know I was totally joking when I posted that originally.
He'll be fine in the AHL. He is a slower grittier version of Tom Pyatt.
If he has grit, then he's no Tom Pyatt.
Pyatt wasn't soft by any means....just too small and weak to inflict any punishment. It is a moot point in the end as any team that has either Pyatt or Dumont in their lineup have no chance of winning a cup.
I always laugh at statements like these. Teams have won cups with equivalent or worse players before and besides we don't know yet what Dumont can do at the NHL level (he did well in the few games he played last year).
Pyatt was still a good defensive forward, if Dumont is anything like him with a little more offense and a lot more grit then he should be a decent 4th liner.

Max Talbot and Steve Bégin are both bottom six players under 6 foot I'd go to war with (Bégin in his prime)... Pyatt was as soft and weak as Palushaj ! + he had no IQ, although he was good on the PK, thanks to Gill.
Talbot and Begin are significantly bigger and stronger than Dumont.
As for Pyatt, he went to the dirty areas and took his lumps. Soft players stay away from these areas. Just because a player doesn't throw many bodychecks doesn't make him soft. If Dumont could skate like Pyatt then this would be a very different conversation but alas.......he can't.
Max Talbot is 5'11. Bégin is listed at 6'0 but really isnt. Dumont at 5'10 is bulkier than Talbot.
As of Pyatt, he always lost puck battles. If he had Dumont's tenacity...
Talbot is bulkier and much stronger than Dumont. Funny how you say that Begin isn't 6'0 but leave out the fact that Dumont is very generously listed at 5'10. The listings for these players are often ridiculous as the announcers last night said Dumont is 5'9 175 lbs which is in stark contrast with his listed stats.
If Pyatt was as physical as Dumont and Dumont was as fast as Pyatt..........the Wizard of Oz could magically make them quality NHLers.

Pyatt is soft
...and Hagel is not, but who does more to help his team win games?
