MOOOOOOM the messiers are fighting again...
The moose are loose

One more, and it was only because they shot the puck over the glass. The refs made it very clear for the last 40 minutes that they would not call a penalty no matter what happened, and that’s a problem. But regardless of that, that goal challenge is an absolute joke that deserves to be called out. Luckily we came back, and it can be moved on from, but that could have been extremely costly
Kulak kicked his foot out. Was it a dive from Bennet? Of course but that is Bennet being Bennet. He is a UFA, would love to get him if we could.

I have to say that I think that those idiots are finally getting to acceptance stage.

Seen a lot of Flamer posts on twitter that have unfortunately hit my timeline that lay out how pathetic they are statistically. They're basically the worst team in the league by any kind of success measure since 2005 and are only finally beginning to realize it.

When the fantasy that they always rested easy on for the last 20 years died (we're better than the Oilers lol!) they finally started to see the obvious.

Well whatever. It is the best hockey played. Try to enjoy it a little. Was a great game.

Harpoon: "I really need to call out Drive on something. really anything. So integral. lol

Drive: Wow I'm happy about this game, what a great game!

Harpoon: I'm here to piss on your parade. Stop happy joy ;)
Laughable. It’s a public board. I’m allowed to disagree with your takes on the hockey games. Your little shtick about ‘ooh harpoon needs to call me out on the happiest day of my life because he’s such a downer’ is ridiculous. I’m responding politely. The fact that you don’t like it, and reply with this nonsense instead of actually discussing anything I wrote, is your problem. It’s starting to look like a serious one. Too bad.

I don't even know why they have coaches challenges especially in the cup finals where the situation room should be reviewing every goal anyway. It's not like a goal is scored and then they drop the puck 10 seconds later. They have plenty of time to call down to the officials and tell them to delay the puck drop if they see something
Could you imagine the conspiracy quacks losing it if the situation room calls down to over turn an Oiler goal?

Lose the tinfoil hat dude. They are not out to f*** the Oilers. At least not these playoffs... so far.

The guys bitching about the refs are like serial gamblers. They only talk about their winnings. You never hear them talk about all the money they lost. LOL

Do you just update the scores page on NHL.com and catch the occasional highlight?

Let's hope this time around if McDavid wants to buy drinks and drink them with his buddies, he gets Nurse to buy the drinks instead of buying them himself with his wife

Frederic is one of those players that goes on streaks. He'll do nothing for 10 games at a time, but then win 3 straight games by himself, then disappear for another 10.

In some respects - that's frustrating and not good enough. But I'll give him credit - even when he's not really going he treads water well.

He's basically a budget version of Johan Franzen that is more physical.

Yesterday I thought we'd his worst game of the playoffs, but even then he wasn't particularly poor. Definitely a number of times where you'd have liked him to bear down and make a better play - but our third line was always going to lose the matchup against the Panthers third line.

One thing though - knowing he comes up huge when he's on - I find it hard to take him out. Particularly since we're at the end of his usual cadence of down games.
id add that if we get to a point where someone needs to take 5 min to beat the breaks off someone (preferably one of their top 4 dmen who play 24+ mins) thats the guy we want to take the penalty, unless you wanna see arvidsson get his head beat in lol

My highlight of the game was Selke winner Barkov going fishing on the winning goal.
agree, but to be fair 97 and 29 will make anyone look stupid in that spot. the oilers PP put their D in a complete blender. i think the D closest to teh corner thought perry was 97, there is no reason to put that pressure on perry of all people. they cycle quick passing was a disaster for them and i expect we will see a tighter box and more discipline from them. which is great for bouchbomb time lol

Barely any contact. He felt a slight contact and went down. Should have gotten 2 minutes for embellishment
Bennett definitely springboards backwards as well. And he's going to do it next game.

The Oilers have to do the same at the other end to Bobrovsky. We will see what the zebras do.

If the Oilers do it then it's an automatic goalie interference penalty. Hyman has done much less then what Bennett did and it's a guarantee those goals get called back.

rewatching the OT goal on the break in that rat marchand takes out bouchards legs. slippery play and i hate him cause we are playing him but its a headsup play on the break-in eliminating an option

Absolutely agree, Knoblauch should have never challenged the play. I was hoping for the best but I knew what to expect.

We got lucky that 2 goal swing didn't bite us in the ass.

If anything I think it was beneficial to the Oil to drag the game out an extra period while gaining the series momentum with the OT win.
