Hasn't that been a pretty common theme throughout the playoffs? Saw someone say they put McDavid and Drai together so Drai can try and cheat on the faceoff and when he gets kicked out Connor just takes it and he was 61.5% on the dot tonight.

What's the point cheating if you're always kicked out and a winger needs to take the draw

I think it was important that they capitalized on that PP. Killing that penalty would've given the Panthers so much life.

Goalie interference for 31 of 32 teams more accurately. Colin Campbell in charge of the war room while his son is the assistant GM for the Panthers means Sam Bennett gets the benefit of the doubt every time.

Knoblauch said he would challenge that every time based on what he has seen from the NHL and I would have agreed with him. How many goals has Hyman had called back. I would be willing to bet that on at least 95% of those there was at least incidental contact with the oppositions defenseman. There was no way that you could call what Kulak did a trip. Bennett backed up and clipped Kulak's skate and then used this as an excuse to sit on Skinner.

It's why signing Bennett as a UFA is such a risk, not only does he not really produce in the regular season, but he won't have this cover anymore

I guarantee if Toronto signs him like what is rumoured, he'll get suspended within the first 12 months and the narrative will completely change.

I think the most bizarre thing I noticed yesterday was Arvidsson retrieving the puck twice in the defensive zone.

Really good thing to see as it means he's ready what his defenseman are doing and playing smart defensive hockey, but just something you don't see everyday

Knob being able to play and trust 4 FWD lines and 3 D pairs throughout is a game changer. The wear and tear on the opposition players who log huge minutes will start to show quickly.

4th line was unreal in this one.

Long-time Habs fan here, 100 % rooting for the Oilers! Not just bc they’re the best team in Canada and the last one standing but bc they’re awesome to watch. What a game! And the crowd support was fantastic! I hate the Panthers and their dirty play but it seems that to win the Stanley Cup you have to grind it out against the dirtiest teams as well as terrible officiating. The Oilers can and I hope they do. Most everyone in my Montreal hockey-pool are all-in for the Oilers. Go Oilers!!

That they still won with Bobbrovsky playing that well and with the ability of their shooters to exploit goalies is very, very encouraging.

Honestly there was one put where McDavid was out and I was like "oh ya he still plays for us"

But that's what you need to go deep in the playoffs and between Knob and Bowman they've found a fit that works perfectly.

Ya let's changed what has worked and got us to the finals again. You don't call out officials in the media it does nothing other than get the officials made at you and potentially start changing the mindset of your players.

The players are dialed in don't need him going all Peter Deboer to appease some fans
