Won a massive home ice opener. Team has to win more face-offs. I hate complaining about refs but they were terrible tonight. And lots of puck bounces on what was the best ice in the world. f*** Florida p***yes such a cheap, greasy team.

Connor looked elite all game, and of course Leon showed up big time. Both of them are backchecking like demons.

I thought Jake Walman had an excellent game, almost played like our backs were to the wall. I wonder if he can keep up the intensity.

I don't disagree but he put up a .913 and they still lost. I think this is a game Florida is going to wish they had because this Oilers team picks apart goaltenders. As great as Bob is, I expect at least a game or two where he goes sub-900 because the Edmonton shooters have been doing that all post-season.

I watched the replay again, and I think it was a good challenge. Should have been overturned.

I’ve watched that replay more than 10 times and I still don’t see what kulak does to Bennett that causes him to fall into Skinner.

Also, I agree with Bieksa and Gaz, McDavid wasn't trying to pass to Ekky. Connor didn't sauce the puck over, the puck was tipped by Bob's stick. The pass was intended for Kane or friendly fire in front of the net. Ekholm supported the play and was in the right place at the right time.

Regardless, love the way Ekholm jumped all over that puck. Zero seconds wasted. That was in the net before anyone had a chance to react.

Podkolzin was great tonight, his forecheck caused multiple icings and his pressure caused the delay of game. Hell of a net drive too. Cant believe we got this kid for a 4th

I'd like Stecher in the lineup... but I don't know who I'd take out.. the 6 dmen they have in are doing a pretty solid job overall.

I miss Stecher too. The thing is, I cannot trust Nurse - Kulak.. but as you say, who can be taken out?

This game had some good, some bad. Bad would include Nurse - Kulak on the Marchand goal. Connor Brown looked rusty and kind of un-engaged. And holy cow, that Florida forecheck is intense! The Oilers have not faced a club like this yet, this year.

Am I the only one who thought the third Florida goal was offside?

Good is the club's resiliency, as usual. Got a little lucky to get that PP in overtime, but they were pretty dominant in overtime anyway.
