Post-Game Talk: Built. Different.

Frederic never recovered from his high ankle sprain. Oilers didn’t do their homework into how bad that was. I’ve watched him in Boston and he normally has way more jump. Just looks a step behind which makes sense if he can’t skate like normal. Not exactly a guy who could afford to lose a step.
I can see that. He has shown some flashes of skill, so if his skating was hindered it would make sense he's less effective.

I have held out hope that we re-sign him for a song, and he has a great year fully acclimated and healthy. Could be beneficial for both parties, if the number is right.

But for these playoffs, ya, idk if he should be playing.

Not only that, but if I'm not mistaken our PK looked great the first time around before the challenge. May as well risk it in the first when everyone is fresh and your up 1.

Sucks it didn't work out, but that play won't happen every game.
This is exactly what I said when it first happened yet some posters kept arguing about the shit challenge. Why wouldn't he challenge...even if close...we had momentum, were up 1-0 and their earlier PP sucked. Totally agree

Podz laid several. He’s flying out there. It’s very obvious he loves big games, he is not one of those guys that wilts in these moments. And he’s never played in the finals before, same with Kapanen, they both looked great
The Pods play on RVs goal was spectacular. Dropped the puck off, drive the net and laid a perfect screen on Bob. *Chef kiss*

Also, I agree with Bieksa and Gaz, McDavid wasn't trying to pass to Ekky. Connor didn't sauce the puck over, the puck was tipped by Bob's stick. The pass was intended for Kane or friendly fire in front of the net. Ekholm supported the play and was in the right place at the right time.

I also have to say I was disappointed in the teams effort for second chances. Need to bare down on those chances.

I liked it as well. I thought it was pretty obvious he purposely fell into the goalie. He has also been up to bullshit when it comes to goalie contact the entire playoffs. This may be naive but I’m a bit surprised they didn’t put their foot down there.

It was nice to see Drai feast on Bob after being so beat up last year, and a healthy Kane pick up where Zach left off with nine hits!

So glad we got good Stu! And he overcame his Game 1 curse! He scared me a bit early on, but made some clutch as f*** saves and finished the game with a 0.71 GSAx.

Bob? 0.65 GSAx. Still...46 shots against!!

Kapanen looked like a total star tonight. His breakaway would've been so amazing if he finished.

I thought Brown and Frederic were not good. Skinner should be in next game
Brown we gotta give the benefit of the doubt. He's had a very good playoffs and hopefully with an 1 game 4 days he gets the rest he needs.

Frederic was also not very good but I still think he's needed more than skinner.

Oh I think that play will happen every game and scum Bennett will "fall" on Skinner.
