Post-Game Talk: Built. Different.

Remember when LA’s coach blew a challenge. They fell apart. It completely changed the series and was the beginning of the end for them.

Knobs blew a challenge. It changed the momentum of the game for a period or so. Then our championship caliber team chipped away at the game till they tied it up and won in overtime. Just fantastic.

Florida is no joke. But getting the series lead early is a huge edge. Three more to go.

Leafs fans cheering for y'all. Great game of hockey. With that said, this is why being a Canadian market is such a disadvantage.

First of all, no Carlina Hurricane analyst would do a podcast and talk about how Aho cheats on the faceoff or some other dumb peculiar shit like that.

Second of all, even if they did, it would gain no traction and no one would give a shit.

But it's Edmonton and a Canadian market. So you have the refs turning the game into football with the amount of stops and starts and delays on the faceoff. Refusing to drop the puck, phantom dropping it repeatedly, re-doing them, constantly kicking someone out.

It was wayyyyyy more than normal. Refs making it about themselves. Idk how these guys do it bc I woulda been losing my mind. You could see RNH spazzing at the ref. So annoying how some analyst can impact the game from their bedroom or little studio.
100% agree with everything you said

You guys must hate Florida as much as we do. I really hope the Oilers kill em and end this

He was f***ing relentless too. When he came to Draisaitl’s defence…chef’s kiss. Panthers wanted no part of him
Thought that was a big moment too. Plus the way he just screamed in there. Was like Superman cartoon swooping in. Some crazy stuff. Like Kane took one instant to be there. Drai skates away. "yeah Panthers, thats the way it is" lol

Speaking of underperforming I do think even after a win you gotta consider taking Frederic out of the lineup. I wish I could clip the amount of times he struggled to the move the puck out. He maybe laid one hit of any consequence and showed no finish in the opportunities he was handed. I think he’s a good player but I’m done waiting for him to find his game.

Yep, everyone calling for Skinner in and Frederic out was right. Idk if it’s the injury or maybe the moment is too big for him, Skinner is just better with the puck
