He's skilled and physical. I thought he was more of a dangling creampuff that they thought might provide some offense on the 4th line in limited minutes. But he's been playing like a mini-Hyman.

Winning late in 1st OT is nice too. I feel it is always a bit demoralizing for the other team when you beat them in OT, especially if it's 2nd or 3rd. you put so much effort, and then you still lose.

Yep. This is the best possible game Bennett can play. Panthers completely squandered it and in realtime I was saying Barkov cost the Panthers this as he was botching chance after chance. Then Barkov gets clocked in OT for the winner. lol

Plus Ekblad was made to skate miles in this game and eating all the punishment. Ekblad has to do so so much for this Panthers club.

You could see they figured they could melt the clock in third period, huge mistake, and frankly Panthers were worked in 3rd period and OT. They barely got anything after the Oilers got into their game.

That the Oilers took over shows what you say. Losing that lead was physically and mentally draining, and they might have been pushing too hard early on to try to bury the Oilers. That Arvidsson goal did a lot to keep the Panthers on edge and pushing hard to regain that 2 goal lead. The D and Stu held the fort and the energy advantage was all Oilers after that

Both were outstanding tonight. Kap almost had the playoff dream in OT. He's a deceptively fast skater.

Kapanen has been very very good. We really are needing his pace as well. Give us a different look in bottomsix and when he's on he's even got some magic. Almost won it in OT and he also fed Nuge for a late 3rd period potential winner. Kapanen also with two other assists. Was our best bottomsix player by miles.

This team gets better the further they get in a series, and they came out looking like thought all year about how they were gonna beat the Panthers, and executed pretty damn well. Oil in 5, they wanna lift the cup in front of the fans.

I'm kind of mystified at this. Our Honeymoon was great. How is a honeymoon anything but fun?

My parents didn't have a honeymoom because they got married on a Friday and my dad was at Oilers camp for tryouts on the Monday. I was BORN into this Oilers life.
