That almost felt like it was destined to fall apart and go to overtime. Seems the Fragile February bunch isn't entirely vanquished yet even if the managed to pull out the win, and someone make Drai practice shooting at empty nets for f***s sake

This team needs Ekholm back in a hurry though. Nurse out there in the final minute after a game of bad passes, poor defensive decisions, and weak stick plays. He can't be the option they have to go with when defending the lead.

Interesting time on ice for the defensemen. Nurse with almost 28 minutes. Walman with almost 25. Kulak with 22 minutes (!). Bouchard with 18. Emberson with just under 15. And Stetcher with 12.

Surprised with how many minutes Nurse played and with how few Bouchard played. I think he's usually over 20. When Ekholm gets back, they'll have to balance those minutes out more.

Its going to be a commercial where the players try to hit the most posts in an empty net without scoring.

Spoiler: The Oilers win the contest.

I'm not one to complain about reffing usually. But it's amazing how many times a Dallas player reaches in with a free hand or stick and then quickly throws their hand in the air after being like "no I definitely didn't just hold/hook"
Hey they just played a perfectly clean game what can ya say!

phew!

-PK stinks
-love the physicality the new guys are bringing
-McDavid and Hyman look back to normal
-boys stopped skating in the 3rd for some reason...still fragile
-Emberson had a game from hell
-Nurse struggled

either way much needed win...onto Buffalo

Walman was good tonight and making some plays but he also handed the Stars a puck right in front of net at 5-4.

Guy sure has some talent but I think he'll be like Booch making some other plays too.

Jones had decent game. Brown decided to show up for the season. Nice of him. Even Arvid was spotted tonight.

Well this is your team fellas. Lots of butt clenching and no goaltending ahead. 5 goals to W.

The 4th line got pretty run over tonight. Kapanen just isn’t a good center no matter what the org says.

Kap's time here is likely getting close to its end. I don't see how he makes the lineup when Frederic comes back, let alone when Kane does.

Put Kap on waivers, bring up Philp. Then figure out what bottom 6 combo works best.

Special teams staff needs to swallow their pride and change it up.

PK system makes no sense for the personnel that this team has. This team feels like it should prioritize not allowing cross seam passes, not running a system that allows them more frequently. What am I missing?
