Their entire game has been built on throwing picks for years. If the league actually enforced the rules they would be screwed.

Ferraro should have been asking how Hagel was able to stay out of the box on that when the refs are staring at him take numerous swings. Instead he is pretending Sammy wasn't stopping Cirelli going after Dahlin. It made no sense

UPL is indeed in goal.

However, he is not remotely at fault for the first 3 goals. Goals 1 and 2 went in off of Sabres defenseman with UPL tracking the puck properly. Goal 3 was an awful defensive play by Tage and a helluva pass by Cernak.

I do think he could have seen goal 5 better though. Fell for a fake with a possible view of the lane.

I’m still obsessing over the lack of response too. I still haven’t recovered.

Watching our captain get mauled multiple times tonight with a similar apathetic response by the other guys on ice is, oddly, not assuaging my underlying disgust with the team culture.
