win or lose, this game is discouraging. How long has it been since this franchise has an authentic dominant team that hammered teams like this? im not going to start believing in this team until they stop depending on goaltending so much.

having these high point totals is suprising and in the long run, its enabling the management to ignore the big issues.

I'm critical of it because shots are not a perfect indicator of possession. They are just correlated, not proportional.

That being said, I was clearly wrong on that one.

I guess that's why they called the stats Corsi and not possession time.

There was one instance he shoulda shot but yeah, he's not glaring right now.

I wrote about it last GDT but our forecheck and chip-and-chase really undoes our good neutral zone play.

We have very little room to maneuver from the end boards to the end of the circle where our offense usually operates. It's a mess of sticks and makes for a very tough time getting off shots or passes.
