2nd was right from the slot wasn't it? .

Doesn't really matter. You can't allow a goal on every shots from the slot in a game. If you do you'll have an over 4 GAA. Buffalo had 7 shots. And 2 of them was on the same play (1st goal). You can't score twice on the same play. So basically the maximum number of goals by Buffalo in the first was 6 goal. Price gave 3. That's really bad.

I like Price and it's his first bad game in a while and i don't blame him cause our crap offense should win it for him.

But saying this is our team when price is not above average is stupid. Price is awful tonight. Enroth was better than him.

People who have actually watched Price play this year would notice that his stick play is just perfect this year. And the same Price would have had a better stickwork on that 3rd goal too. 5-hole is rarely a good goal. Especially for a player like Price who plays the percentages. He put his stick to block a pass from behind, but Gionta had moved from behind, and Price kept his stick there instead of moving it to protect the 5-hole.

The whole team is to blame for, again, a bad start. But Price hasn't been good with his stick on all 3 goals. The 1st goal, tough to block 2 consecutive saves, yet...Price has done that all year long. And on the 1st save he makes, his stick work is perfect and he loses his stick positioning on the 2nd shot.

Again, a team that shows itself and play like a supposed top team in the league play MUCH better and do not trail the Sabres....but Price has been bad with his stick on all 3 goals. He still is awesome, and even awesome and top goalies can't have off nights. Great news is that there's still 2 periods and he could go back at being awesome as we're not sure if his team is ready to do so.

This team OWES Price to bail him out tonight. This is a big test. Price bails them out often, team needs to start working and give him a W even if he struggles.

I agree with your last sentiment. We haven't seen the team have to bail Price out very often.

How they respond will be very telling.

What irks me most is that DD got a point by mooching off.Prust's hard, honest work. *******, stat-padding midget.

The third goal wasn't really anyone's fault looking at the replay. Three habs players covering home plate. Gio has no options, he just floats one in the crease and gets a lucky bounce. This isn't really a defense breakdown and no one really deserves any blame.

Okay saw the replays. The first one the guy gets two chances. That's horrible. I can't blame Carey.

2nd one, Moulson alone in the slot... once again terrible. This one Price usually has. Not a bad goal but Carey wants it back.

Third one Gionta is in the crease on the doorstep. Bad defensive coverage on all three and Price usually makes up for the 2nd and 3rd but not tonight.

Good analysis, thanks! And you couldn't be more right about the last part.

Man, Myers is bad. He looks so awkward on his skates. The game seems too fast for him.

I'd blame the defense a lot more actually. The SABRES were buzzing in our zone for the whole first period.
