He’s not the best forechecker, he’s not very good in puck battles, he does fly-bys on the puck carrier. He doesn’t put himself in positions to score very often, he’s often closing himself out of passing option.

His skating is average. His physicality is average.

His shot … I’m sure it’s good but given he doesn’t get in spots to score often enough it makes it way less of a weapon. Most of his shots are not scoring chances. When he’s getting fed in good areas by Stutzle his shot is either wide or directly on the goalie.

He’s a tweener. Type of guy you don’t really want in your top 6. Odd fit in the bottom 6 too. He’s just another one of these guys who doesn’t really fit anywhere on a good lineup.

Agreed.

Now that Tkachuk is injured I understand (for the first time) why he’s playing with Stutzle but otherwise he should be on the 4th line and you cut your losses in the offseason and try to move him for a top 6 player.

Would rather have Ostapchuk on the 4th line (nevermind the 2nd) than Zetterlund right now.

We seem like the type of team that will score 5 goals in Game 1 of the playoffs and not score again until the 3rd period of Game 4.
