Seravalli: Buffalo may not have a choice but to trade Peterka

True. But that club plays very loose. Their D especially. Peterka for an experienced right shot D would help.
That’s unlikely since Buffalo fans feel that all their players are worth prime Scott Neidermeyer. I guess that’s what happens with 14 years of missing the playoffs.

Oh look, Buffalo fans don’t want give up a player they like for 3 pieces they don’t need.

Hey, let’s remind them how long their team has sucked, betcha nobody has thought of that before.

Yawn. Sure it's just Sabres fans that overvalue their players. Meanwhile on the Senators board someone proposed Pinto for Peterka and your response was you'd need a big + from Buffalo. 🤣 Sure sounds like Sabres fans are the delusional bunch.

Buffalo needs players with already signed term coming back in a trade.

The problem with any trade involving the Sabres, is needs. They’re not interested in prospects and draft picks. Making trades with the Sabres tough because 90% of the teams who’d like to get involved, don’t wanna give up core pieces of their roster. They want to give up prospects and picks.

So you end up stuck targeting, or settling for players who have issues of their own. Maybe they have contract problems, or someone like Norris, who can’t stay on the ice for a full season.

This would be a good get for the Isles, if they’re really going to move Dobson. There again though, not what Buffalo is ideally after.

The Sabres really do have to be the hardest team to run. So many built-in issues.

This is a perfect example of how clickbait social media RUMORZZZZZZZ~! sites are a boil on the ass of humanity. Here is the actual item being cited:

You can clearly see that the wording of the tweet was wildly misleading.

Seems like a pretty obvious insight. If they can't re-sign him they should trade him. The real question being is his name in trade rumors because it's clear he won't re-sign or is this just more wishful thinking/vaguely worded click bait.
It's clickbait. If you read Fairburn's (the Buffalo Sabres beat writer) article on the same site (The Athletic), he clearly states that Tuch appears open to signing an extension.

The Sabres did meet with Alex Tuch’s reps at the combine this week. It’s still too early to say what will come of that, but that Tuch is open to negotiating is a start.

I like how you popped in just to make a random sweeping generalization, and it in no way reflects upon yourself- it’s every single Buffalo fan, with this invented tendency.

I’d trade you for a 5 pound sack of potatoes, and I overvalue potatoes, how bow dah?

Saravelli on our local Van sports radio saying Dahlin is available. Crazy times in Buffalo
I was curious about this and listened to the segment - that is absolutely not what he said. He was wondering out loud who could be available and phrased it as “could Dahlin be available?”. Which is not at all “Dahlin is available”.

Frank is the human manifestation of click bait. Everything he says seems meant to drive traffic without him having to walk anything back.

Thus is BS crap.

I'm sure nany teams are calling each other on short term 1-2 yr to becoming free agents.

You can say this about all players with 1 yr to free agency including ncdavud and eichel.

Sabres are likely resigning him. If they don't this summer then thry trade him before the season starts to prevent team distractions.

Buffalo's struggles for the past few seasons are an enigma. They have so many quality prospects and good players already there but unable to break through. It comes down to goals against. I'm not sure if it's their goaltending, maybe coaching, maybe the blueline is still too young and inexperienced. But once they cut their goals against, they should join the teams in the playoffs. It will happen eventually. As a Sens fan, I saw my team do this very thing; goals against down dramatically, made the playoffs.

No problem trading JJP.

If Buffalo is getting back a player of equal talent that is signed it saves the hastle.

Especially if that playere can play defense.
